yea ng is ok i suppose
@Luis it's true that shit SUCKS!
realest guy I know. You are what every newgrounder should aspire to be in terms of how you interact and what you give to the community, I think. keep being a great and inspiring friend you rascal!
we out here keepin it real
@BrandyBuizel yes. the bread is made from yoga mat, so its kinda healthy but not much!
I read that whole thing but I won't clutter your post with another text wall
I will just say you are an asset to this site and I'm glad you're here. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. <3
its okay i love reading text walls
1-Always cool to read these "X years on NG!" recaps, makes me wonder if other communities do it or if it's mostly a Newgrounds thing.
2-Congrats on 5 years!
3-wow
you also been a real one butzbo. i specifically remember you were one of the first people who followed me on the site and i remember checking out ue profile and being so impressed that i told my younger brother about it. lov u butzbo we gotta do something together one day
@Luis so much flavor in the sweat of dance moms
Time well spent!
Sure it is great place to be!
Putting into words what I feel pretty regularly, you're involved with a lot of good stuff around here :D
on da hustle love newgrounds so i cant stop myself from gettin wrapped up in projects
@VortexSupernova I presume you were part of Eclipse era as well?
I will say, talking to people in NG is more better to handle with than what DA has to offer. Seriously, I cant deal with those role-player everywhere I go.
Being part of Community driven site is way better because there are user who control site rather then business who maintains the site 100%. Also getting frontpaged must be exciting thing you ever got. Seem like an good start.
I love being a new kid on the block, passion for this site sure is infectious :D
Luv U 2 (:
@AKA-38CAUTION just a bit of Eclipse era, I joined at 2015 where I loved the old UI. Then, after that chaos in May 20, I decided to just lay low few months after because of the Russian sex bots and spambots nobody on the staff decided to fix. Was about to give up when I was browsing it for the first 3 days of Eclipse launch and EVERYBODY incl. me was having eye strains and headaches from browsing that website. I don't go much there, even my fave stats grew more than 100% because of the new algorithm.
And yeah, compared to dA, Newgrounds is really well maintained and even veteran members that are the equivalent of "Senior", "Volunteer" or even Staff accounts directly interact with you. You will never see a "Tom Fulp"/Angelo Sotira interacting with an only 5 year old deviant, skilled or not, unless you give dA/WIX a lot of money or you work at popular video game/film companies. I was overwhelmed since I was used to the algorithm-based attention.
From witnessing the origin of NG days to where it is now, a lot of great progress has been made.
I agree with the "beginning, middle, and end" part a lot. I'd like for NG to be the one-stop-shop. THE playground.
NG just needs the infrastructure to make this possible. It might be a bit counter intuitive, but when a channel is given financial options (perhaps a subscription button, or a donation button on each channel), then the site will see residual income on a scale that Tom has never seen before.
I'm writing this in retrospect after FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' got published on NG. Just look at where you guys were a month ago -- hoping to finish a game...
