not exactly, the basis of the COPPA stuff is around how Youtube/Google is COLLECTING DATA from people using the internet that are under 13 AND KNOWING they are under 13 years old.
Another is if the site is specifically targeted towards children, which NG OBVIOUSLY isn't because it has porn on it lmao.

Social media fuck-ups seem to be a recurring theme behind these surges in Newgrounds viewership. Last year it was Tumblr, and now it's YouTube. I'm curious as to what social media will do next year to alienate their base.

If you like games also be sure to dig up Alien Hominid, Red and check out MrNannings stuff for starters. Lots of medals there. You can compete for ranks and stuff. There's a ton of not just stuff but also culture, competition and collaborative incentives to get into on this 20+ y/o site that actually started ti all (first public content submission system ever); hopefully you find a new home in this magical maniacal creative mess that is NG! Honestly? I appreciate the warm welcome. believe it or not, I had considered making one before this whole FTC mess, but I suppose this was the extra push. I had also heard that Story-time animated content was kinda frowned upon as a whole here, but it's been nice to see a lot of really positive feed back!
If people tell you that you don't belong on NG, they are wrong. If you make anything creative, it probably belongs on Newgrounds. Nice to see that you're getting good feedback! And welcome to NG!

Honestly I started on YouTube in 2009, and loved it, but NG is looking a lot more beneficial these days. The community here is supportive and Tom, the owner is very open to new ideas for the site and is very transparent unlike a certain Susan.
